The National Railroad Museum was established in 1958 and has been operating a 501 (c) (3) educational organization offering exhibits and the American railroad experience. They are one of largest rail museums in the nation. The National Railroad Museum receives some 75,000 visitors annually and host to a Day Out with Thomas.
The NRM offers a great opportunity to truly learn about the history of rail while understanding how this connects political, economic, and cultural influences which built America as we know it. They have over 100 unpaid volunteers and a professional staff of 12 members serving visitors from around the globe.
